Experience Golden Grasslands and Breathtaking Autumn Views

Located in Higashiizu Town, Shizuoka Prefecture, Inatori Hosono Kogen offers breathtaking panoramic views of the Amagi mountain range and the Izu Islands scattered across Sagami Bay.

In autumn, the vast grasslands come alive with Japanese pampas grass (susuki), covering approximately 125 hectares—equivalent to around 26 Tokyo Domes. The silvery plumes gradually turn golden as the season progresses, creating a magical landscape. The swaying grasses, clear blue skies, and distant ocean views make this a truly beautiful autumn scene.

Inatori Hosono Kogen has also been selected as one of the “100 Grassland Villages to Preserve for the Future,” in recognition of its natural value and the local community's ongoing efforts to protect these traditional grasslands.

Visitors can enjoy walking and hiking along trails across the expansive fields. During the event, additional activities are planned, including live music performances, a stamp rally, and food trucks.

Why not spend a refreshing autumn day surrounded by the spectacular natural scenery of the Izu Peninsula?
