【Izu Wasabi Visitor Center】 Museum｜FREE

The Izu Wasavisitor Center opened in Izu City in April 2024. It is a facility developed with the aim of disseminating various information about Izu wasabi and promoting interaction with the local community. Although the center is small, it is packed with information, including panel displays about the history and cultivation methods of wasabi cultivation.

歴史だけでなく、わさびの効能や実験データなど細かく展示されていて、とても面白い。館内を楽しむためのクイズなども用意されており子供も楽しめる。(クイズを回答するとわさびのステッカーをもらえる。)

You can also view VR images of wasabi fields, making you feel as if you are actually visiting a wasabi field. Furthermore, for those who have never tried fresh wasabi, try out the taste comparison experience, and feel for yourself the differences between the fresh Izu wasabi and the tubed wasabi you usually eat. There are also facilities nearby where you can purchase fresh wasabi, so please visit them as well.
