【Jogasaki Coast】 Geopark・Hiking・Scenery

Jogasaki Coast was formed by lava that flowed out when Mt. Omuro erupted about 4,000 years ago. The coastline is rough, and one can sense the mysterious power of the majestic nature. The main spot is the Kadowaki Suspension Bridge. Many tourists visit and cautiously cross the 48m long, 23m high suspension bridge.

つり橋からは切り立った岸壁に打ち付ける波の様子が見え、迫力満点である。屋外のため、風が強いので十分気を付ける必要があるが、一見の価値があるスポットだ。またすぐ近くには門脇灯台があり、伊豆七島が浮かぶオーシャンビューを臨むことができる。

There is a 9km hiking trail along the coastline, where you can take a pleasant stroll. It is a popular trail because you can enjoy a variety of flowers depending on the season. There are also some unusual potholes, so be sure to check them out as well.
