“Kami no Ie” in Yugashima, Izu City is the main household featured in Yasushi Inoue’s semi-autobiographical novel Shirobanba. The over 150-year-old residence retains its original charm and stands today as a notable literary landmark.

Hie Shrine, located at the kimon (demon gate) which is adjacent from Shuzenji Temple. Originally the temple’s Sanno Shrine and is said to have been founded by Kobo Daishi.In October, the annual festival is held, featuring mikoshi (portable shrines) and shagiri floats parading through the Shuzenji Onsen area.
