【Hashiriyu】 Historical hot springs

The Upper House (Kami no Ie), which appears in Yasushi Inoue's novel *Shirobanba*, is located in Yugashima, Izu City. This house, which corresponds to the main family home of Yasushi Inoue and serves as the residence of the protagonist, Kosaku, has been preserved almost exactly as it was at the time.

Shuzenji Temple is located in the center of the birthplace of Shuzenji Onsen. It is known for having been founded by Kobo Daishi during the Heian period.

【日枝神社】伊豆市修善寺温泉|パワースポット

Hie Shrine, located at the kimon (demon gate) which is adjacent from Shuzenji Temple. Originally the temple’s Sanno Shrine and is said to have been founded by Kobo Daishi.In October, the annual festival is held, featuring mikoshi (portable shrines) and shagiri floats parading through the Shuzenji Onsen area.
