The Nanohana Flower Fields in Minato, Minamiizu Town, spread out from the corner area near the Hino intersection. This initiative began in 1992 as part of the "Energetic Farmers Festival," an effort to repurpose abandoned farmland by planting flower seeds. Initially, the project was small in scale and relatively unknown. However, thanks to years of dedicated activity, it has grown into a significant local attraction, drawing many visitors and becoming an important part of the town's tourism resources.

In 2012, the area was registered as one of the "Fujinokuni Beautiful and Dignified Villages", a recognition given to places of exceptional scenic and cultural value. In 2018, it was further honored with the "Rengo Encouragement Award" as a successful example of regional revitalization.

This area is also a venue for the "Minami no Sakura and Nanohana Festival", making it a perfect spot to enjoy both cherry blossoms and canola flowers. The striking contrast between the vibrant blooms and the blue sky creates a breathtaking scene, and the location offers an ideal course for a leisurely stroll.
